1. What this app does

"THE INS Salon" is the official Meta App of THE INS HAIR SALON. It connects our Instagram business account (@the_ins_hair_salon) to our customer-service system so we can receive and reply to Instagram direct messages from customers in real time (booking questions, service inquiries, appointment confirmations).

2. Data we receive from Meta

When you send a direct message to our Instagram business account, Meta shares with our app only the data needed to handle your message: your Instagram user ID and username; the message text you send us (and any attachments you choose to send); message timestamps and conversation identifiers. We do not receive your password, email address, phone number, or any other profile data you have not shared with us directly.

3. How we use it

To display your message to our staff so they can reply; to send you our reply through Instagram; to keep a short conversation history so we can follow up on bookings. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your messages for ad targeting.

4. Data retention

Conversation records are kept for up to 12 months for customer-service follow-up, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will.

5. Your rights — deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time: message us on Instagram (@the_ins_hair_salon) and say "delete my data", or email theinshairsalon@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". You can also use Meta's data-deletion request flow for this app; our deletion callback endpoint processes those requests automatically.

6. Security

Message data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with access limited to salon staff who need it for customer service.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at this URL.
